Ugly people are not allowed to read news anymore
Hollywood celebrities have always been looked at as being glamorous, beautiful, always looking their best. This pressure is one of the reasons why almost all celebrities are having every plastic surgery procedure imaginable in order to keep up with the current standards of society. The only ones who are tolerated of being a wee bit unattractive are the funny ones.
But now, the superficial high regard of what’s acceptable as beautiful is slowly crawling out of the Hollywood scene and into the newsrooms. Yes, even those who deliver the news have to be good looking now. Gone are the days when guys like Tim Russert could host an important show or sit down in a newsroom delivering the top stories.
Nowadays, the newsroom are laden with pretty boys and gorgeous news anchors to read us our daily dose of news. Not convinced? Take a look at Anderson Cooper, Brian Williams, Liz Cho and Kristie Lu Stout. It’s alarming how the superficiality about beauty is increasing rapidly and is starting to spread like a plague.

Today, your Harvard degree isn’t enough anymore in order for you to sit down in a newsroom, you have to be gorgeous too with a killer smile and awesome hair.
